A Masterclass

While on vacation I watched enormous palm trees being lifted and moved by an even more enormous crane.

Men gatherd on all sides, guide lines making sure everything was just right.

Even more men surrounded the hole as it was lowered into a space speciallt prepared for it to have the best chance to grow.

As it’s tended and cared for, its chance of flourishing is high.

I took this photo of the lotus while on retreat.

Its start is vastly different than the well-tended palm, yet its dignified beauty is undeniable.

It pushes its way up, through the mud that covered and nurtured it, until reaching air at the top.

Its very life is a masterclass in harmonious existence.
